Spectra MDF Fractional Resurfacing Treatment

Pixel Perfect Your Way to Better Skin 2

What is a fractional laser?

Fractional is the term used because only a fraction of the skin is affected by treatment. The Pixel laser creates thousands of microscopic perforations through the epidermis (outer layer of the skin) into the dermis (second layer of the skin). Because the perforations are so tiny, they are surrounded by mostly unaffected skin and tissue. This surrounding skin then heals the perforations in between very quickly.

The Pixel lasers we use in our Pixel Perfect treatments are the most advanced for superficial skin resurfacing. They offer dramatic results with fewer risks than what are presented by CO2 lasers and chemical peels. Healing time drops from up to 30 days with CO2 lasers and peels down to seven days or less with Pixel Perfect.

How does it work?

Once the Pixel laser creates the perforations, the body responds as if it were wounded. This happens despite the fact that the microscopic wounds begin healing almost immediately. The body begins to create new collagen that is needed to rebuild the skin in a wound. This new collagen improves the skin’s texture and tone.

What does Pixel Perfect help with?

Although not overly aggressive, Pixel Perfect makes dramatic improvements in these conditions:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven pigmentation

Results

The effects of our Pixel Perfect treatments are cumulative. After your first treatment you’ll see improvements in pigment and skin texture within a week to 10 days. Then, as your collagen builds, you will continue to see improvement for the next three months. Future Pixel Perfect treatments build on those results.
